My name is Michelle and I don’t make “resolutions.”  I prefer to set intentions – not just for the new year, but life in general.  So, each year, I think about who I intend to be as a person.  Intending to do good things seems to be less of a rigid rule and more of a purpose for the next phase of me.  Doors open, as do all the possibilities for the next chapter, and I like walking through open doors.  In 2020, I intend to travel more frequently to local destinations, sightseeing in my own neighborhood.  I also pick a word of the year for fun.  Last year was journey and I’m still deciding for this year but I’ve narrowed it down to My Top Two.  What’s something you intend to do or be this year?

My name is Michelle and I am not an organized or well-prepared holiday shopper.  I try to be.  Every year, I convince myself I’ll not only buy Christmas cards, but I’ll actually mail them.  Get cute little gift tags and neatly address each gift.  Make my lists, do my shopping, and have everything tidily wrapped under the tree – a tree that will go up the day after Thanksgiving.  Yet somehow, every year, I find myself standing in line at Walmart on Christmas Eve with a headache, sore feet, and a sense of exhausted desperation.  However, I still completely and utterly love Christmas morning. Every year.
